I departed a little from normal speed training and did a little bit more race specific training. Today's run was only 4 miles but my objective was to hold certain times on these miles and ran them back to back. After a few times of this I'm going to pick up to 5 and 6 miles with the middle miles being about 7:00.
Mile 1 obj 9:00 warm up actual 8:45
Mile 2 obj 8:00 act 7:50
Mile 3 obj 7:00 act 6:48
Mile 4 obj 8:30 act 8:20
These are obviously sandwiched between 10 to 15 minutes of stretching. It really helps me a lot.
